The Kingdom of Swaziland is an absolute Monarchy, ruled by King Mswati III, and is famous for the ceremonial culture where old traditions and beliefs still govern every aspect of life.

Guests will be collected from their accommodation establishments early in the morning and head towards Jeppe’s Reef border post.

Enter the Kingdom of Swaziland after border crossing formalities and head towards the Ezulwini Valley, via the scenic Magugua Dam Road, app 1.5 hours’ drive away.

Upon reaching the newly completed MR3 Highway that leads to the capital, Mbabane, a short detour will be made to stop at the famous Ngwenya Glass factory where the glass blowers can be viewed at work, numerous arts & crafts shops await, and clean restrooms are available.

Return to the MR3 Highway and proceed towards Mbabane where we take the ring road around the outskirts of town to the Ezulwini Valley, roughly translated as Heavenly Valley…home to the well-known Shebas Breasts Mountain Peaks and Execution Rock!

Depending on the size of the group and the day of the week, expect to see any of the following:  King Sobuza II Memorial Park, Swazi Candle factory complex, local market, Mantenga arts and crafts, Baobab Batik, House on Fire complex, Guava Gallery, Mantenga Cultural Village.

A lunch stop ( Lunch and drinks for own account) will be made during the course of the day at a local restaurant.  The Ezulwini Valley offers not only spectacular scenery and amazing arts and crafts, but also friendly people, interesting history and great food!

Guests will return to South Africa late afternoon.
